French artist Vincent Niclo has released a new album entitled Le premier Noël ensemble (The first Christmas Together). It covers Christmas classics in French and English.
The music is a combination of Opera, Jazz, and Pop. The symphony-style music is incredible, including the fantastic piano performances, like Le Premier Noël (with Krystel Mongeau), Sainte Nuit, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas and Glory Alleluia. The musical style parallels Frank Sinatra, giving it an old-fashioned/vintage feel, especially the ballads. It also combines traditional and contemporary sounds. These versions of holiday classics, such as Noël Blanc (White Christmas) and Le Premier Noël (The first Noël), have a nostalgic effect. Noël Blanc parallels the original version with the sound of sleigh bells in the background. The compositions are rich. The album has a vibe perfect for intimate Christmas parties with family and friends.
Vincent Niclo’s voice is bold and passionate. He sings each song with heart and soul. He pays a lovely homage to the Christmas classics. He also has four fantastic duets: Le Premier Noël (with Krystel Mongeau), Ave Maria (with Sarah Brightman), Un Jour Noël (with Martine St-Clair), and I’ll Be Home for Christmas (with Mario Pelchat). In each duet, he sings harmoniously with the artist he is performing. Le Premier Noël (with Krystel Mongeau) is a beautiful duet with voices complimenting one another nicely. Ave Maria (with Sarah Brightman) is a stunning performance of Vincent Niclo and Sarah Brightman singing together softly and harmoniously. Un Jour Noël (with Martine St-Clair) has an outstanding balance of strong voices performance together.
I’ll Be Home for Christmas (with Mario Pelchat) is a heartfelt duet. The contrast between Vincent Niclo’s operatic voice and Mario Pelchat’s deep one is remarkable. Vincent Niclo has an impressive vocal range and distinctive linguistic singing styles. He performs in French, Italian and English- incredible!
The album Le premier Noël ensemble is available.
