John Deacon Joins Queen: 50th Anniversary

March 1, 2021, marks the 50th Anniversary of John Deacon, the bassist, joins the famous British Rock band, Queen.

His bass sound added a bold touch and edge to the group’s music. He wrote hits like Another One Bites The DustI Want to Break Free, You’re My Best Friend, and more! He also co-wrote other classics Under PressureFriends Will Be Friends and One Vision. His style of writing complemented that of the Rock Band.

     His contribution to Queen and British Pop Culture is memorable and has an incredible legacy. Although John Deacon retired from Queen after Freddie Mercury’s passing in 1991, he remains an icon in the music scene.
