The 50th anniversary special of the American Music Awards took place on October 6, 2024. It was incredible to watch, and it honoured 50 years of this fantastic event.
The performances on last night’s program were incredible. They brought back memories and showed how this remarkable event evolved.

Gladys Night – Midnight Train to Georgia
It’s a fun way to start the show. She sang her classic hit with heart and soul.
-Green Day – Dilemma
The group performed their latest hit. It was an incredible performance
-Kane Brown – Tribute to Alan Jackson

*Drive (For Daddy Gene)
His performances of these two songs were heartfelt and soulful.
-Jennifer Hudson’s Tribute to Whitney Houston (the dress similar to Whitney Houston’s 1992)
*I Loves You Porgy
*I Will Always Love You
She gave a touching tribute to the late Whitney Houston.
-Stray Kids – Homage to Boy bands, including Nsync
*dancing homage to Nsync’s Bye Bye Bye
They did an excellent job paying homage to Nsync’s 2000 single.
*Chk Chk Boom
They smoothly transitioned to perform a single of theirs.
-Mariah Carey – We Belong Together
She gave a heartfelt performance of her 90s hit. It felt nostalgic.
-Brad Paisley – Truck Still Works
His latest performance was fantastic, and he honoured the late Charly Pride.

Amazing performances. A medley of Old-school and contemporary music. Impressive!
-Raye – It’s a Man’s World
Her performance was phenomenal. She sang with bold passion, giving it her all. It’s a timeless song with a subject still relevant today.
