2Frères – À tous les vents – 1 year Ago

Quebec duo 2Frères released an album on February 21, 2021, entitled À tous les vents (to all the winds). The themes are love and family life.

The music is Folk and Musique Francophone. The album’s vibe is homey and cozy. It represents the Quebec culture nicely. The guitar and the banjo throughout the record compliment this nicely. The rhythm of each song flows smoothly and naturally. The music is catchy and authentic, rich in style and with well-structured compositions.

The brothers Erik and Sonny Caouette’s voices are deep, husky and fantastic. They sing from the heart about their personal lives, including references to their hometown Chapais’ city landmarks.

The lyrics are from the heart and tell personal stories about their livesThat includes references to family life and the small-town charm of their city of origin. The first example is Snack-bar chez Raymond (Raymond’s Snack Bar) that tells the story of life in a small town.  À tous les vents (to all the winds) is about venturing into life- the wind represents adventure and spontaneity. There’s so much depth to each song. The album also covers the journey through life.

The album À tous les vents is available.
