Single Saturdays: Khaled Mounib – Ra’asna

Egyptian musician Khaled Mounib has released a new single entitled Ra’asna (We Danced). The song tells the story of love at first sight and the mixed emotions along with it. Khaled Mounib wrote and composed this tune.

The music is Arabic Pop. The sound is upbeat. The composition parallels his late uncle Amer Mounib’s singles Ya Malak (my angel) and Leil w Nahar (day & night). There’s a Summer vibe, making one feel nostalgic for this season during the colder months. The beat is wavy, going from slow to fast to slow again. The chorus has the best musical composition with a nicely done “stop effect.” The tambourine and the guitar add incredible sounds to the song, along with clapping.

Khaled Mounib’s voice is rich in tonalities and rhythm. He has evolved as an artist since the last two years, developing his unique vocal style. He sounds expressive and bold.

The lyrics are romantic and poetic. The poetic style has a rhyming combination of AABB and freestyle writing that is remarkable and intricate. The words are well-written and easy to follow. The lyrical style is new for Khaled Mounib. He has developed his distinct vibe over time with catchy and happy lyrics. Falling in love is a timeless subject and described in simplistic detail. When one is in love, one feels like dancing, clear and straightforward in this fantastic song.

The single Ra’asna is available.
