Single Saturdays: Chris Mann feat. Intell & Kathryn Dean – Mo People Mo Problems

American singer Chris Mann has released a new single entitled Mo People Mo Problems featuring Intell and Kathryn Dean. It’s a parody of Notorious B.I.G and P Diddy/Puff Daddy’s 90s hit Mo Money Mo Problems. The song tells the story about the importance of staying home in quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The music is a mix of Pop and Rap/R&B. The composition is the same as the original version with a nostalgic feel to it. The beat is flowy and catchy. It’s impressive to hear old school music in combination with contemporary sounds.

Chris Mann’s voice is incredible and bold. He sings along with Kathryn Dean and Intell, where each singer performs their part with style. The vocal style parallels with the song Mo Money Mo Problems, but with a modern twist.

The lyrics follow the structure of the song Mo Money Mo Problems precisely. The song covers the importance of staying home during the current pandemic, following the guidelines. The comic relief in this parody is helpful in this difficult time. When I heard this song, I instantly recognize the reference and felt nostalgic. The tune has well-written lyrics.

The single Mo People Mo Problems is available.
