Mandy Moore’s Inspirational Album Silver Landings

American Popstar Mandy Moore has released a new album entitled Silver Landings. The themes are love and life and women.

The music is Alternative with a mix of Pop. There’s an incredible musical combination of drums, guitar, piano, and the violin. The songs parallel to the works of Sheryl Crow, Dolly Parton, Kelly Clarkson, and Faith Hill. The song I’d Rather Lose reminds me of Sheryl Crow’s All I Wanna Do that has a similar guitar beat. Tryin’ My Best, Los Angeles parallels to the works of Kelly Clarkson’s new music. These are two fantastic examples. The whole feel of the album has a combination of the style of 90s classics with a contemporary sound. The music of each tune complements the lyrics nicely.

Mandy Moore’s voice is beautiful and soulful. Her vocal style reminds me of Sheryl Crow, especially with the tune All I Wanna Do. She hits each note perfectly that expresses a specific mood, depending on the song.

The lyrics are inspirational and touching. There’s powerful poetry throughout the album. The words have a personal feel to them, as Mandy Moore tells personal stories from childhood until now. The songs are relatable, especially for young girls.  Easy Target is an inspiration for young girls to follow their hearts and take a leap of faith. Another inspirational tune is Save a Little for Yourself, which covers the topic of self-care and self-love. The song Fifteen is the most personal because it is about Mandy Moore during her music career at the age of 15. Each tune has something personal with which listeners can connect. The song Silver Landings is an example of finding the silver lining in everything. The words are full of hope and inspiration.

My favourite songs are  Save a Little for Yourself, Easy Target, If That’s What It Takes  and Silver Landings.
