March 29, 2026, the Junos took place, hosted by Mae Martin, who did an excellent job as host of Canada’s biggest night in music.
It was so much fun to watch. There were so many amazing moments that beautifully honoured Canadian music. That includes the presence of Prime Minister Mark Carney at last night’s Junos. The evening was lovely.

*Opening Act
Rush – Finding My Way
What an incredible way to start the 2026 Juno Awards. It was also an homage to Rush’s 50th Anniversary tour. It was their first appearance since Anika Nilles joined the group.
*Daniel Caesar –Son of Spergy
He gave a heartfelt performance of his single while seated in the audience, creating a cosy atmosphere.
Daniel Caesar won the Juno Achievement Award, presented by his friend, singer Mustafa.
*Arkells Ft. Grouplove – Ride
It was a fun, dynamic performance that included the moment of riding a bike.
*Mico – Homesick
He gave a heartfelt, soulful performance.
*Sofia Camara – Girls Like You
She gave an impressive performance.
*Cameron Whitcomb – Options
He gave a performance with bold, uplifting energy.
*William Prince – For the First Time
He gave a beautiful, heartfelt performance. He had a deep, soulful voice.
Two Great Musical Career Homages
*Nelly Furtado Career Homage
It started with a beautiful montage of Nelly Furtado’s impressive music career. It then led to Drake’s heartfelt speech.

What an impressive medley performed by incredible artists. They did a wonderful job honouring Nelly Furtado’s career as a singer. Congratulations, Nelly Furtado, on becoming the newest inductee to the Canadian Music Hall of Fame
*Joni Mitchell Musical Career Homage
It was a beautiful homage that started with Prime Minister Mark Carney’s heartwarming, bilingual speech. It then segued into a lovely montage of Joni Mitchell’s career spanning over six decades.
