Single Saturdays: Ed Sheeran – Azizam

British pop star Ed Sheeran released a new single, Azizam (My Dear or My Love). The song is a sweet love story in which the guy is learning to embrace life with the help of his loved one profoundly.

The music is Pop/Brit Pop. The song has a bold, vibrant energy. It inspires one to want to get up and dance. It has a lovely summer beach vibe. Ed Sheeran, Johnny McDaid, and ILYA did a remarkable job producing the single Azizam. The music reminds me of Middle Eastern songs by Amr Diab and Nancy Ajram. The musicians playing throughout the song are phenomenal, combining Pop with Persian-style sounds. Ed Sheeran and Johnny McDaid are in charge of playing guitar and did an excellent job. ILYA plays keyboards, bass, and drums with great finesse. Ganesh Murali plays incredible Ghatam. He also plays the amazing tambourine along with Jayesh Kathak. The choir that complements these impressive musicians is the Citizens Of The World Choir, playing incredible melodies. The composition is fantastic with its tonalities and bold tempo changes. The music is catchy, with an incredibly vibrant rhythm.

Ed Sheeran’s voice is joyful and dynamic. He sings with great enthusiasm and conveys hope and positivity. His cheerful energy is present in his voice, and he has an impressive vocal presence.
The background vocalists Andy, Arash, ELVIRA, Eyelar, ILYA, Johnny McDaid, Luka Kloser, Sasy and Savan Kotecha added a wonderful layer to this catchy song.

The lyrics are hopeful, a heartfelt celebration of love and happiness. Ed Sheeran, Johnny McDaid, Savan Kotecha and ILYA did an excellent job writing Azizam, a beautifully well-written song. The song starts immediately with the word Azizam being said twice, instantly attracting listeners right after the guitar plays, then smoothly goes to the chorus. The verses are short and sweet; they get to the point. The same goes for the pre-chorus and chorus. The words are easy to follow and remember. The song has an incredible blend of freestyle poetry with the classic rhyming structure of AABB. The tune’s natural musical flow complements the romantic, adventurous vibe. Using a Persian word like Azizam is a lovely cultural touch that gives the song a sentimental essence – this bold flair and a beautiful je ne sais quoi. The lyrics have a remarkable depth, inspiring love and hope.

The single Azizam is available.
