Editorial: 58th CMA Awards

November 20, 2024, the 58th CMA Awards took place—good job to Lainey Wilson, Luke Bryan & Peyton Manning for hosting Country music’s biggest night. Their opening monologue after Chris Stapleton and Post Malone’s opening acting was funny and dynamic. Their camaraderie was nice to see.

It was a sweet, touching performance.

-Thomas Rhett & Teddy Swims – medley

What a fun medley of two great Country singles

-Luke Combs – Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma
He gave a bold performance.

-Kelsea Ballerini & Noah Kahan – Cowboys Cry Too
They sang a beautiful duet together.

-Cody Johnson & Carrie Underwood – I’m Gonna Love You
They did an excellent singing this heartfelt tune.

-Chris Stapleton & his wife Morgan – What Am I Gonna Do?
It was a touching performance by Chris Stapleton and his wife.

-Kacey Musgraves – The Architect
She sang this song with heart and soul.

-Brooks & Dunn with Jelly Roll – Believe
That was an epic and remarkable performance.

-Post Malone – Yours
His performance was from the heart, honouring his daughter

-Lainey Wilson – 4x4xU
She sang this song with great passion.

-Bailey Zimmerman – New to Country
It was an impressive performance.

-George Strait Hommage

*Miranda Lambert & Parker McCollum – Troubadour
*George Strait & Chris Stapleton – Honky Tonk Hall of Fame
A lovely medley of performances that honoured George Strait’s musical career.

-Ashely McBride – Help Me Make It Through The Night
She performed a touching tribute to the late Kris Kristofferson/

-Luke Bryan – Love You, Miss You, Mean It
What a fantastic performance. Good energy!

-Eric Church – Darkest Hour
He sang from the heart – a beautiful way to honour the victims affected by Hurricane Helene.

-Jelly Roll feat. Keith Urban – Liar
What an impressive performance – a fantastic blend of musical styles.

-Dierks Bentley with Sierra Hull, Molly Tuttle, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes – American Girl
It was an incredible way to end the 58th CMA Awards. They gave a great performance.

The 58th CMA Awards were fun to watch. Lainey Wilson, Luke Bryan, and Peyton Manning were fantastic hosts and did a remarkable job. The musical performances were entertaining, and the artists sang with heart and soul.

Congratulations again to all the winners of the 58th CMA Awards.
