I enjoyed this year’s 12 Days of Christmas article as it was the 5th Edition. It marked the 5th year of these Christmas music reviews. I also saw some Christmas specials, including CMA Country Christmas. It was impressive, once again, to hear these remarkable Christmas albums, EPs and singles. There was a great blend of renditions and original songs. There were remarkable covers, including Last Christmas and White Christmas.
The year 2023 was a year that felt like a sense of normalcy was back. Life post-pandemic has been an adjustment, especially since masks have been optional in Canada for a year and a half. It was nice to have gatherings. Christmas music played everywhere, and it felt festive and joyful.
I enjoyed planning the outline for my 12 Days of Christmas articles. I covered music of different genres, from Pop to Country to Jazz. There were even some musical renditions of Christmas classics. Like every year, I couldn’t cover everything. Here are some honourary mentions.
