American Gospel Trio, Greater Vision, released a new Christmas album, Christmas in London. It consists of
The music is Gospel. The album starts with an incredible intro with the song, A Prelude (O Come Emmanuel, Carol of the Bells, I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day). It boldly sets the tone for the rest of the record. The musicians Gerald Wolfe (Piano), Rodney Griffin (Bass guitar), Mark Trammell (Bass guitar), and Chris Allman (Tenor) play their respective instruments phenomenally. When two songs are on one track, they transition from one song to another clearly and smoothly, such as in pieces like O Holy Night / In the Bleak Midwinter and O Come, All Ye Faithful/The First Noël. The harp in the background makes the holiday classics feel magical, like a fairytale, like the melody Silent Night. The rhythm of each song is beautiful; it feels like I’m attending a symphonic performance. The compositions are beautiful, rich and full of heart.
The vocalists Jon Epley, Ernie Haase, and Wesley Pritchard sing marvellously the Christmas classics. They perform each song with heart and soul. They capture the choir atmosphere perfectly throughout the album. Each member sings their parts with heart and soul, honouring the Christmas classics.
The album Christmas in London is available.
