Exit This Side’s Dynamic  EP Love Songs for the Heartless

Canadian Rock band Exit This Side released a new EP, Love Songs for the Heartless, that covers the themes of love and heartbreak with a unique perspective.

The music is Rock. The sound is edgy and unique. The musical style parallels the works of Green Day, Goo Goo Dolls and Red Hot Chili Peppers. The musicians of Exit This Side are remarkable, each adding their musical touch (Guitar players Jamie and Tarek, Drums player Tobi, and Bassist Craig).
Two songs on the EP have an upbeat/joyful sound: Something Beautiful and Far ApartSomething Beautiful has a lovely rhythm with a gradient pace. The combination of guitar, drums, bass and percussion/piano is perfectly balanced. The song Far Apart parallels the music of Linkin Park and Green Day’s Wake Me Up When September Ends. The beat is fantastic.
The EP also has three sad songs: Heartless, Hold On, and  No One Better Than You. Heartless has an intense sound to represent heartbreak with the bold beat of the guitar. The piece Hold On reminds me of Matchbox 20’s music from the early 2000s. No One Better Than You parallels Under The Bridge, a single from the Goo Goo Dolls and Green Day’s Boulevard of Broken Dreams
The blend of musical styles is impressive. The compositions are rich and rhythmic.

Exit This Side’s vocalist, Ben’s voice is bold and husky. His dynamic vocal style parallels the late Chester Bennington from Linkin Park. He sings with heart and soul – a beautiful depth and richness.

The EP covers love and heartbreak with impressive depth. The lyrics are deep and vulnerable. The songs are poetic, with a heartfelt feeling.
The two romantic songs on the EP are Something Beautiful and Far Apart. Something Beautiful is a sweet and touching piece about falling in love with the right person, in which everything makes sense and is genuine. The poetry is profound and soulful – from the heart. The tune Far Apart is about a man who likes being alone but shifts his perspective when he meets someone who impacts his life and realizes he missed the one with whom he fell in love. It’s a poetic and heartwarming song about finding true love.
Three songs on the EP cover heartbreak in various forms: HeartlessHold On, and No One Better Than You. Heartless is about a man feeling heartbroken by someone who hurt him, expressing sadness and anger. Hold On is a powerful, vulnerable song about a man who admits his mistakes and regrets how the relationship ended. No One Better Than You is about being wrong for letting an incredible partner go when there should have been an effort to keep them.
The EP has incredible songs with a different take on heartbreak and love, an interesting new perspective.
