August 4, 2022, marks the 60th Anniversary of Marilyn Monroe’s passing. She was a Hollywood Icon- her movies and singer were memorable. My favourite was Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, which includes the renowned sequences where Marilyn Monroe performed one of her famous hits, Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend.
Her performances were grand and bold. She sang with style and panache. The choreography of her dancing was impressive and intricate. I especially enjoyed the movies she did with Jane Russell. They were a dynamic duo. She is an unforgettable cultural icon.
Marilyn Monroe’s legacy is incredible. Her work is timeless and remarkable.
