Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you had a lovely 2021. I know that the Omicron variant in recent weeks has been scary. However, one must remember that compared to 2020, things improved overall, including the arrival of vaccines against COVID-19. We also have to remember our blessings.
In terms of my blog, there was so much to cover in music. It was a memorable adventure from musical movies to tributes for artists, including the late Freddie Mercury. As a fan of Queen, my tribute to Freddie Mercury felt personal and sentimental. Selecting the pictures for social media and creating an outline for the article was exciting and challenging (sometimes). It was worth it to honour the late frontman of Queen.
The 2021 edition of the 12 Days of Christmas was so much fun. I discovered impressive French versions of Christmas classics. I also heard beautiful covers of Andrea Bocelli’s The Prayer, Queen’s Thank God It’s Christmas and one of Bryan Adams’s Christmastime. I’ve many amazing covers of Christmas classics,
as well as and original material. There were also humorous songs that cheered us up during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The most incredible discovery was Ellen Williams’s operatic covers of Christmas classics. It was another fantastic edition of 12 Days of Christmas.
The year 2021 came to an end; this time around, there were lovely memories that had me leaving 2021 with a smile. I hope 2022 will be a remarkable year. Wish you all lots of love.
I look forward to discovering more fantastic music throughout 2022.
In the meantime, I’m taking a little break and will be back soon.
Happy new year!
