June 1, 2026, marks the 11th anniversary of MusiFlo. It’s been quite an interesting year, both musically and creatively. Every year, I continue to discover incredible music from incredible artists. I remember a year I was working on designing a new logo and revealed it to the world on the 10th anniversary of MusiFlo. It was also the time I had gotten my Facebook back.
As a blogger and founder of MusiFlo, I believe I have evolved creatively as a writer. I learned to take more breaks, using the Pomodoro (25 minutes, then a 5-minute break), and I have improved in my timing. I especially do well with the technique during my virtual workshops called Shut Up & Write, organised by the Quebec Writers’ Federation (QWF). If you’re in Quebec, I recommend joining this organisation. There are options for the yearly fee (general, student, etc.). It’s worth it. I haven’t attended the in-person ones yet, but I’m considering it sometime. I also learned to take a break from the blog when I don’t feel well, as I have over the last couple of weeks. I appreciate your understanding.
The music world has changed so much, in so many ways, including how we consume music, with the arrival of various streaming platforms, for example. However, quality music is timeless no matter how one listens to it. I admit I love a record or CD because it’s tangible.
Some of the musical discoveries include Olivia Dean, Sam Sauvage and Leo Kalyan. These artists have an impressive, fresh sound. I look forward to discovering more talented artists with this boldness in their music. There are so many dynamic artists from all over the world. I will try my best to cover as many countries as possible. Feel free to suggest blog article ideas for reviews via DMs or email.
I hope to inspire more people to discover these hidden gems from the musical world. Thank you, my readers and social media followers, for your support over the past 11 years. It’s been a joy to write these articles.
With lots of love,
Flora Youssef
