Black History Month – Music Edition 2026

Welcome to the first annual article of Black History Month – Music Edition. Starting this year, on every February 1st, I will write an article about what I plan to cover in contemporary music by Black artists. Also, this month I will have a couple of music-related events to cover: the 68th Annual Grammy Awards (February 1) and Victoires de la musique (February 13).

I’m excited to discover incredible music from Black artists. In the first week of February, I plan to review Olivia Dean’s latest album, The Art of Loving. I listened to it recently, and I enjoyed it. I discovered one of the songs, So Easy (To Fall in Love) on a friend’s Instagram post, and I fell in love with this single. Her voice is incredible. That’s just a sneak peek of this week’s article.

I look forward to searching for music by Black artists. I will try my best to post on my social media. However, due to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano-Cortina, I may adjust my article schedule slightly. Don’t worry; there will still be articles.

Thank you, readers, for your support.

Have a lovely month of February. Happy Black History Month!
