In 2025, I discovered lots of incredible music, which is a blessing and something I say each year, I admit. This year, however, I realised I had my fair share of challenges, especially writer’s block. Through researching how to overcome writer’s block, I found a variety of techniques to help me through it. I will put a link below that was useful. It was a pleasure to honour more musical milestones, which I will mention further.

Also, I had a challenging start, including my Facebook issues in February. It took me about three months to get it back. That affected MusiFlo’s Facebook page. However, I continued to commit to my blog. Thank goodness, I got my Facebook (both personal and professional) back just in time for the 10th anniversary celebration of my blog, MusiFlo. Plus, I feel proud of the blog’s new logo. It was so much fun designing it, and I got helpful feedback from friends (thank you!). It’s such a blessing to be writing about music, honouring both emerging and established artists. The same goes for honouring musical milestones.
I also had incredible moments of joy when I wrote the article for the 50th Anniversary of Queen’s legendary song Bohemian Rhapsody, for example. That piece was an absolute joy to write, especially as a hardcore fan of Queen. This time around, it was even more fun to write about Bohemian Rhapsody because I got to learn about its origin story, thanks to one of those documentaries that mentioned how Freddie Mercury came up with this legendary piece. I also got to cover other bittersweet milestones, such as the 50th anniversary of Umm Kulthum’s passing (February 3) and the 30th anniversary of Selena’s passing (March 31).
My recent favourite articles were the ones where I talk about the two parts to the Wicked Movie franchise (Wicked & Wicked for Good). I reviewed the two soundtracks in 2024 and 2025. The editorials for those two films were a lot of fun to write. Elphaba is my favourite character because she was true to herself. I also like Ginda and Fiyero, especially seeing the characters evolve.
Another musical movie I look forward to seeing is Song Sung Blue, starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson, which came out on Christmas Day (North American release). It’s about a husband-and-wife duo who pay homage to Neil Diamond’s music. Having listened to and reviewed the movie’s soundtrack, it’ll be exciting to hear the songs in the film.
There’s something I’ve noticed over 10 years of writing this blog: I feel more comfortable talking about my writer’s block and the challenges I faced in finding inspiration. Also, I allowed myself to make a few minor changes to the blog, such as writing an article for Labour Day and occasionally noting that I don’t always know what I will review next. Thank you, everyone, for your support over the past 10 years. I learned so much.
I look forward to discovering more incredible music. My fellow readers, you are all wonderful. I will take a break from MusiFlo. Thank you again for your support. I wish you all the best in the new year: love, hope, and happiness.
Happy New Year 2026!
