
November 19, 2025, the 59th CMA Awards took place, hosted by Lainey Wilson. It was a lovely evening of honouring Country music.

*Opening Performance
Luke Combs – Back in the Saddle
It was a fantastic way to start the 59th CMA Awards.
*Lainey Wilson -Medley of Iconic songs.
She gave a heartfelt monologue, then began performing a medley of well-known country songs, including Need You Now (Lady A), Gunpowder and Lead (Miranda Lambert), and A Bar Song (Tipsy)(Shaboozey).
*Zach Top – Guitar
It was a fantastic performance
*Megan Moroney – 6 Months Later
She gave a bold, energetic performance, reminding me of a musical scene.
*Chris Stapleton – Bad As I Used To Be
He sang his song with great passion.
*Kelsea Ballerini – I Sit In Parks
Her performance was touching and heartfelt
*The Red Clay Strays – People Hatin’
They gave a dynamic, edgy performance. There was a lovely sound that reminded me of old-fashioned Country music.
*Old Dominion Medley

It was an epic medley of their best. Well done!
*Stephen Wilson Jr. – Stand By Me
His performance was simplistic and cosy. It reminded me of those stages in small venues.

What an impressive performance that honoured the late Brett James.
*Shaboozey & Stephen Wilson Jr. – Took A Walk
They gave a bold performance.
*Lainey Wilson – Ring Finger
She sang her single with great feeling.
*Miranda Lambert & Chris Stapleton – A Song To Sing
They sang a beautiful duet, their voices complementing each other.
*Riley Green – Worst Way
He gave a soulful performance of his latest single.
*Ella Langley – Choosin’ Texas
She sang this song with feeling. The dancing duo was a nice touch.
*Tucker Wetmore – Wind Up Missin’ You
His performance was deep and dynamic.
*Brandi Carlile and Patty Loveless –I Am in Heaven
They gave a phenomenal performance of a song performed by music legend Vince Gill.

They did a remarkable job performing this profound song.

Congratulations again to the winners of the 59th CMA Awards. Lainey Wilson did an excellent job hosting the event. She was dynamic and enthusiastic. It was fun to watch last night’s show.
