First EP Fridays: Sacha – Where To Start

Canadian singer Sacha released her first EP, Where To Start. The themes are personal stories, love and heartbreak.

The music is Country. The songs have a sound that parallels classic-style Country music and contemporary sounds- creating well-balanced compositions.

The record starts with semi-fast-paced ballads. Where to Start has an incredibly wavy rhythm, representing mixed emotions. The song ends on a fantastic guitar fade-out. The song Til I Don’t (semi-fast moments) has an impressive blend of slow and fast, representing the stages of sadness and anger of grief. The intensity of the music perfectly complements the song’s story. The piece Find You has a smooth rhythm. It reminds me of Shania Twain’s single Forever and For Always. The music feels joyful, inspiring hope of true love being out there. Hey Mom, I Made It has an incredible composition. It starts slow and then smoothly increases in tempo, going from slow to fast to slow again. The guitar is fantastic in this piece. One Hit Wonder has a catchy beat reminds me of Garth Brooks and Reba McEntire. The music is bold and edgy, and the EP ends upbeat.
The tune High Life has a fun, upbeat sound. The rhythm is smooth, representing that laid-back, easy-going mood. The energy is fantastic in this piece.
Each piece has incredible music that captivates listeners with remarkable musicians and composers.

Sacha’s voice is soulful and soft. She sings each song with heart and soul. Her singing style is dynamic, and her fantastic voice instantly captures listeners.

The lyrics of each song are poetic and personal. Sacha and her team did excellent work writing these tunes.
The album has relatable songs about heartbreak with genuine vulnerability. Where to Start is a profound piece about healing, and it’s a long process. In this case, it’s about a young girl whose father didn’t come, impacting her and her family. It’s a heavy-duty tune with feeling. Til I Don’t is a relatable, vulnerable piece. It discusses the following stages of grief: nostalgia and anger, representing the struggle to move on, which people can relate to. One Hit Wonder is a fantastic song about moving on and a great metaphor about an ex.
Two incredible upbeat tunes inspire hope and joy. High Life is a fun, positive and inspirational song about living life to the fullest, being high on life and the joys of living. The good vibes have a strong presence. Hey Mom, I Made It is a sweet and hopeful song about a daughter reassuring her mother that everything will be okay, going from a little girl to a young woman.
Find You is a lovely, romantic song that inspires hope that true love exists. It’s poetic and profound, expressing what it feels to be with someone who gets you – a perfect match kind of partner.
The lyrics are rich in feeling and profound poetry, telling relatable stories.
