Last week, Jimmy Fallon hosted a one-hour Christmas special, Jimmy Fallon’s Holiday Seasoning Spectacular. It was a fun program to watch. The show started with a sweet intro of Jimmy Fallon “flying” on skis to end up at this magical door, and the story begins…
JB Smoove plays Jimmy Fallon’s “guide”, and he gives his comedic touch.
The Musical Numbers
Christmas Ding Dong was a fun introductory musical sketch to look for the Christmas Ding Dong.
Almost Too Early For Christmas with Dolly Parton was cute and whimsy. I especially enjoyed the claymation.
Hey Rudy (with The Roots) was a dynamic number when “the kid” versions of Jimmy Fallon and the Members of The Roots performed it.
Chipmunks & Chestnuts
Jimmy Fallon gave a fun performance of a humorous song.
You’ll Be There (with Justin Timberlake) was a dynamic musical number. It reminded me of 90s music videos.
Hallmark Movie (with Cara Delevingne) was a fun parody of Christmas movies, especially the “undercover prince” falling in love with a city girl.
Holiday (with The Jonas Brothers and LL Cool J) was an upbeat performance with great energy.
Wrap Me Up (with Meghan Trainor) was a sweet number that reminded me of Meghan Trainor’s music videos.
New Year’s Eve Polka (5, 4, 3,2,1) (with Weird Al Yankovic) had a fun party vibe with humour and enthusiasm.
All I Want For Christmas (with Mariah Carey & The Roots) gave the program a nostalgic touch with the clip of Mariah Carey and Jimmy Fallon performing this 90s classic.
Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) ended the show on a sentimental note. He did a lovely rendition of the Christmas classic.
Jimmy Fallon’s Holiday Seasoning Spectacular was so much fun to watch. It was full of Christmas cheer, and the storytelling aspect of this program created a sense of joy and whimsy.
