On Saturday, September 14, the 2024 CCMA Awards occurred in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Thomas Rhett and Mackenzie Porter hosted the awards show and gave a lovely introduction to the evening’s event. The performances were fantastic.

It was a great way to start the 2024 CCMA Awards. He sang with a bold energy.

It was a heartfelt performance, a beautiful tribute to their late mother. They honoured her with lots of love.
-Owen Riegling – Old Dirt Roads
It was a fun, cheerful performance. It felt intimate and heartwarming.
-Dallas Smith – Use Me
He gave a remarkable, dynamic performance.

Thomas Rhett and Mackenzie Porter briefly interviewed Dallas Smith & Camille Stopps to talk about the movie Soul’s Road. There was also a sneak peek at the film’s trailer.
-Josh Rosh & Julia Michaels – Want This Beer
They gave a heartfelt and passionate performance. It’s an impressive duet!

She gave an incredible, edgy performance of her latest single. The choreography was amazing.
-Thomas Rhett – Beautiful as You
He gave a soulful performance of his latest single. He sang the song with heart and soul.
-Mackenzie Porter – Pay Me Back In Change
She sang the song with all her heart. It was touching and profound.

A dynamic duo! They sang a fantastic duet together- a great way to end the show.

Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame Inductee: KD Lang
*Homage Performance: Tenille Townes & Madeline Merlo – Crying
They did an excellent job paying homage to the Canadian musician KD Lang. They sang her song with style.
*KD Lang & the Reclines – Big Boned Gal
They gave an excellent performance. There was so much passion and edge. It felt like a blast from the past.
