Baby Rose’s Latest EP Slow Burn

American artist Baby Rose released a new EP, Slow Burn. The themes are the journey of life, contemplation and heartbreak. The musicians and songwriters are impressive in the work they did on this record.

The music is Alternative. The EP has a 70s and 90s vibe, and the songs have remarkably intricate compositions.

The record has fantastic ballads. The song On My Mind starts slow and then transitions into a choir-like beat. It parallels Tina Turner’s  Private Dancer. The sound is fresh yet familiar.  Slow Burn has a bold Jazz vibe. It reminds me of old-fashioned Jazz beats from the 40s. One Last Dance has a bittersweet melody that feels sad at times. The tempo changes represent a time of adjustment post-breakup.

There are impressive semi-fast tunes. Caroline (feat. Mereba) has a catchy beat with an old-school sound. It creates a nostalgic feeling, and the rhythm is incredible. The piece Weakness has a fantastic composition. It parallels David Bowie’s 90s hit I’m Afraid of Americans but with a slower rhythm. It’s Alright has an exciting modern Jazz beat. The drums create a feeling of suspense and rollercoaster-style rhythm. The guitar also adds a great touch.

The EP has phenomenal music with intricate compositions.

Baby Rose’s voice is rich and soulful. She sings each song from the heart. She performs with an impressive vocal range. There’s a great duet with the song Caroline (feat. Mereba). Their voices complement each other.

The lyrics are profound and rich in language. Each song covers a range of emotions including heartbreak and the transition to moving on. The poetry is phenomenal.

The EP has touching tunes about life’s struggles described in great detail. On My Mind is a heartfelt song about emotional baggage that many deal with in life, especially in challenging times. Slow Burn is a sad tune about dealing with a vicious cycle of the back and forth in a relationship. It’s relatable and genuine. Weekness is a great tune that covers life’s challenges with depth and understanding. One Last Dance is about a bittersweet moment that involves saying goodbye and the nostalgia of an old flame. It’s beautifully well-written.

There are lovely songs about feeling good or moving on from challegning

Caroline (feat. Mereba) is an impressive piece about remembering the good old days – a nostalgic feeling. There’s a beautiful sentiment behind this song. It’s Alright is a profound tune about accepting that it’s time to move on from the relationship, which takes courage and soul-searching to do. A decision like that is common and makes this song relatable.

The songs are poetic and well-wriiten, rich in language and meaning.
