Anandi’s Album of Positivity and Hope – A Better Way

American artist Anandi released a new album, A Better Way. The themes are love, self-care, self-awareness, and determination.

The musical genre is Pop and some Jazz. The album has vibes that parallel music from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. Throughout the record, the piano adds a soothing and rhythmic sound. The musical styles remind me of the works of Celine Dion, Janet Jackson and Caroline King. There are overall positive vibes.

A couple of pieces give out a vibe of joy and positivity. The song T.P.S. (Truth, Peace and Solitude) has an impressive blend of musical styles. It starts with a Rock-style beat and then transitions to a Modern Jazz sound. The tune parallels Amy Winehouse’s Rehab and Lee Ann Womack’s I Hope You DanceWitchi Tai To has a catchy Jazz beat that parallels Lionel Richie’s All Night Long (All Night) with a beautiful folkloric rhythm. Both of these upbeat songs create a positive feeling.
The album has primarily ballads with a lovely, wavy rhythm. Mandela is a remarkable ballad with incredible drums and piano. It parallels Queen’s 80s hit Friends Will Be Friends, but with a more piano style. A Better Way has a beautiful, calming piano playing in the background, giving it a hopeful vibe. Bold, fast-paced moments parallel Celine Dion’s That’s The Way It Is. When Things Fall Apart is an incredible, rhythmic piece that parallels a slower version of Celine Dion’s Because You Loved Me. The song Don’t Go to Bed Angry reminds me of Nothing Compares 2 U by the late Sinéad O’Connor but with a more romantic feel. It also parallels Mariah Carey’s 90s hit Hero and A1’s Like a Rose. The composition is rich and rhythmic. The tune Surrender to Me parallels Janet Jackson’s Someday is Tonight and Come Back to Me, except with sentimental nuances. There’s a richness in the composition of this piece. The song Break Away is another one that reminds me of Janet Jackson’s Someday Is Tonight but with a slightly faster and bolder tempo, representing intense emotions. It reminds me of Christina Perri’s 2011 single, Arms, especially the guitar solo in various parts of the songThe guitar is a bold touch to this remarkable piece. The tempo smoothly picks up to a faster rhythm. The composition is incredibly intricate. Pleasure with the Pain parallels the Cheers theme song.
The music is rich in rhythm and feeling. It conveys the emotion in each song beautifully.

Anandi’s voice is rich and soulful. She impressively switches from high to deep and vice-versa. She captures the ray of emotions with incredible heart, humanity and vulnerability. Anandi performs her songs with great passion.

The lyrics are poetic and profound – from the heart. The songs have exceptional nuances and are rich in emotions, from joy to disappointment and vice versa. Each piece has incredible depth and is well-written. The album’s dominant theme is hope amidst struggle and heartache.
Some songs are happy and hopeful. T.P.S. (Truth, Peace and Solitude) is an incredible song representing hope, positivity, and self-care. Mandela is an inspirational piece that honours the late Nelson Mandela. It also celebrates hope, love, and compassion for others. A Better Way is a hopeful tune about helping humanity and creating a positive vibe to improve the world. Witchi Tai To is another beautiful, inspirational song full of hope and celebrates blessings. This piece has a heartfelt spirituality that reaches the soul. Don’t Go to Bed Angry is a sincere piece about finding solutions to strengthen the relationship and live a good life.
The album also has songs with mixed emotions or sadness alone. When Things Fall Apart is a bittersweet tune about initially feeling hopeless but then picking oneself up and moving to a better future. There’s a sense of hope that things will improve after a challenging time. The journey to peace and happiness feels attainable – a sense of hope and inspiration. Surrender to Me is a heartbreaking song about feeling unlucky in love, but things turn around for the better. It’s about self-reflection and the hope of falling in love. The tune Break Away is about the struggles after a breakup, making it relatable. The raw emotions express a heartfelt vulnerability. Pleasure with the Pain is a complex piece that covers both heartbreak and the moment to finally move on with life. It’s touching but also bittersweet.
The lyrics are rich in language and have profound meaning if you read between the lines. The poetry of each song is soulful and spiritual.
