First EP Fridays: Michael Borowski – Wander

Advertisements

American pianist Michael Borowski released his first EP, Wander. Its overall vibe is relaxation and hope.

The music is instrumental. The EP has soft sounds that calm the mind. The compositions are rich in musical depth.
Bella’s Chime has a lovely combination of the harp and piano. It’s a soft way to start the EP. The rhythm is smooth.
Pale Blue Dot features bold piano-playing. It starts slow, then picks up in this remarkably consistent beat, with an impressive gradient structure. Michael Borowski does an incredible job creating an ambience.
The piece I’ll Back You Up has a beautiful, smooth rhythm. The music features a calming effect. The slowness feels reassuring, like having support from loved ones.
The Wanderer has a wavy rhythm, complementing the song’s title. It perfectly represents that sense of adventure, expressing feelings of excitement and nervousness in a balanced manner.
The Day You Came has a soothing, meditative vibe that reminds me of those relaxation Solitudes albums by Dan Gibson. The composition is phenomenal in how relaxed one feels listening to it.
In Motion has a semi-upbeat sound that inspires hope and joy in the listeners. I can imagine listening to this song while on a nature walk, especially in the Fall season with the foliage. The music is deep and soulful. It ends the EP on a delicate note.

The EP Wander is available.
