American singer Jennifer Hudson released her Christmas album, The Gift of Love. There are five original songs (including one unreleased) and ten covers.

The music is Soul/Jazz/Holiday. The compositions are beautifully structured. The Jazz-style beats in these renditions of Christmas classics, such as the tune Winter Wonderland, create an eclectic energy. Carol of the Bells (feat. The Joy) has an incredible blend of musical styles. Some songs, like Hallejuah, O Holy Night, My Favorite Things, and Go Tell It To The Mountain, have a lovely choir-style sound.

The musicians throughout the records are incredible, and they capture the Christmas essence. They created a smooth blend of musical styles, honouring the Christmas classics and adding contemporary/modern sounds.
The music of the five original pieces is incredible. The team of composers is phenomenal.
Find the Love is a beautiful ballad with a calming piano playing in the background. Jennifer Hudson, Dan Caplen, and John Gomez composed this lovely piece. The music perfectly reflects the song’s story.
Make It to Christmas starts with sleigh bells and then transitions to the piano. The tempo changes are incredible, expressing various emotions from stress to relaxation. Jennifer Hudson, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Michael Pollack, and Federico Vindver did great work composing this song.
Santa for Someone has an edgy, catchy sound. There’s a fun dance-style vibe. The song reminds me of classics by Stevie Wonder from the 70s and 80s. Jennifer Hudson, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Michael Pollack and Federico Vindver did great work capturing the stress and joy of the holiday season.
Almost Christmas (feat. Common) starts with a lovely saxophone and then smoothly blends with the pleasant sound of the piano. The music is rhythmic and consistent, suiting the song’s storytelling aspect. Jennifer Hudson, Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Paris Jones, and James Poyser did an outstanding job with the tune’s composition.
The bonus track, Let There Be Joy, ends the record with an upbeat note.Jennifer Hudson, Simon Oscroft, Brandon Collins and Josh Varnadore composed this song.

The album has a remarkable blend of musical styles, combining Jazz, Soul and Gospel with some classical Christmas sounds.

Jennifer Hudson’s voice is phenomenal. She sings each song with great passion and has a stunning vocal range. Jennifer performs the Christmas classics with all her heart and honours the holiday season. She boldly hits those high notes.
There are incredible duets: Carol of the Bells (feat. The Joy) and Almost Christmas (a duet with Common). Carol of the Bells (feat. The Joy) is a fantastic duo of incredible artists. They added a modern touch with the South African touch from the band The Joy. Almost Christmas (a duet with Common) is a heartfelt duet. It starts with a beautiful intro by Common. His reference to The Night Before Christmas created a profound sentimental touch. There was a smooth transition to Jennifer Hudson singing softly.

It’s sweet to listen to Jennifer Hudson’s renditions of My Favorite Things and Little Drummer Boy. Her sentiments are evident in these beautiful classics—she sings them from the heart. Little Drummer Boy has a bold energy when Jennifer Hudson sings in a choir-like style with the background vocalists, The Ton3s.

This album includes five original songs (including a bonus track). They’re fantastic and well-written, capturing the essence of Christmas and its meaning.
Find the Love is a hopeful and inspirational song that beautifully discusses the importance of changing for the better. Jennifer Hudson, Dan Caplen, and John Gomez did an excellent job inspiring love, hope, and positivity.
Make It to Christmas teaches a heartfelt lesson about life’s priorities. It celebrates the importance of taking a break from work and everyday routine. Jennifer Hudson, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Michael Pollack, and Federico Vindver wrote this song with heart and soul. They captured the relatable sentiment of needing to step back from the everyday bustle and enjoy quality time with loved ones.
Santa for Someone is a fun, humorous tune about the pressures of the holiday season. The descriptive song includes cute details like singing Jingle Rock and cookies. I also enjoy the determination to get presents for loved ones. Jennifer Hudson, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Michael Pollack and Federico Vindver wrote this piece with great storytelling.
Almost Christmas (feat. Common) is a beautiful, heartfelt song. Jennifer Hudson, Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Paris Jones and James Poyser did a remarkable job writing this Christmas song. The reference to Clement Clarke Moon’s The Night Before Christmas was a nice, poetic touch.
