American singer June McDoom release a new EP, With Strings. The themes are contemplation and life.

The music is Folk. It’s immersive and calming. It reminds me of Irish Folk/Celtic music I heard during my trip to Ireland. The songs parallel Billie Eilish and Christina Perri’s music. Instruments include harp, violin and piano. The EP has great compositions. June McDoom did an excellent job as a composer. The musicians throughout the record are impressive: Evan Wright (the guitar ), Rebecca El-Saleh (harp), Daniel Has (cello), Tess Krope (viola), and Shaleah Feinstein & Julien Danitz (violin).
Emerald River Dance is a relaxing piece that complements the harp playing in the background. The music is perfect for a walk or hiking. It’s a beautiful ballad. Black is the Color of My True Love’s Hair features an incredible blend of musical instruments: Classical and contemporary sounds. The guitar adds an edgy touch to the Folk/Celtic-style song. The song On My Way is soothing. It has a meditation vibe. The musicians are fantastic in creating this relaxing ambiance. The tune The City is a remarkable ballad. The guitar and violin playing together is a bold detail. The composition is vibrant.

The EP has fantastic folk music similar to Irish folk/Celtic music. The compositions are rich and intricate.

June McDoom’s voice is soft and husky. When she sings, she sounds like she’s whispering. She performs each with heart and soul, and her vocal style is remarkable.

The lyrics are poetic. Each song tells a profound story with incredible imagery and depth.
Emerald River Dance is an incredible piece about nature and its beautiful surroundings. It’s full of genuine joy and a sense of calm. Judee Sill wrote the lyrics beautifully.
Black is the Color of My True Love’s Hair is a romantic and heartfelt song. Its message is to let things flow naturally, including with love.
On My Way is a fantastic tune about soul-searching and a life journey. The words are profound. It describes the metaphorical journey to getting to know oneself.
The song The City describes struggles in life and love through changes and idea shifts. It also talks about the willingness to go to another city or country to be with the significant other.

The lyrics are rich in language and incredible poetry.
